The case law digest is built largely from Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada cases released since 2015. The last update was January 2023. The digest is comprehensive, and continuously expanding, but it does not include every case. It may serve as a useful starting point for research, or simply for general interest reading. I strongly recommend that you also conduct your own research to ensure that you have not missed important cases.

 

Most of the content in the digest is excerpted directly from the case law, without quotation marks, and with in-case citations omitted. The cases themselves, however, are provided, generally with paragraph citations.
